Independent scrutiny through certification.
Customers, employees and stakeholders want assurances that the public forests we operate are managed sustainably. Through adherence to globally-accepted Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) and Chain of Custody (CoC) certification standards, we provide these parties confidence in the responsible procurement of wood products and our compliance with global governmental procurement legislation and policies.
Tolko’s current forestry certifications include:
- Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
- Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI)
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS)
- All our mills are Chain of Custody certified to the Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) CoC standard.
These internationally-accepted standards are independently audited to ensure conformance and transparency, and are recognized by governments and customers around the world.
