Westbank First Nation’s youth recreational programs get a boost from Tolko

In support of local Indigenous youth, Tolko recently donated $2,000 at the Westbank First Nation’s Charity Golf Tournament, held at Two Eagles Golf Course in Westbank, BC. The funds will go towards providing recreational services for youths in their community.

Tom Hoffman, Manager of External & Stakeholder Relations at Tolko, Murray Wilson, Manager of Stewardship & Tenures, Carmen Kentel of Human Resources and Bob Fleet, Tolko’s Vide-President of Environment & Forestry, all attended the charity golf tournament.

The Westbank First Nation (WFN) provides several youth and recreational programs, including traditional and cultural training and a Youth Leadership Council.

This year, the WFN plans on constructing an outdoor cultural kitchen adjacent to their new youth facility.
