Tolko Industries Ltd and Ntityix Resources Limited Partnership, the forestry and natural resource enterprise wholly owned by Westbank First Nation via Ntityix Development LP, today announced the completion of transformative forestry agreements that will transfer Forest Licence A98912 to Ntityix while establishing a long-term fibre supply partnership between the organizations.
Under the agreements, Ntityix will assume ownership and management of Forest Licence A98912, with an allowable annual cut of 52,100 cubic metres, and will become responsible for stewardship, operational planning, forest management, and licence administration.
The licence transfer is accompanied by a 15-year Fibre Supply Agreement, automatically renewable under specified conditions, under which Ntityix will supply Tolko timber from Forest Licence A98912 as well as additional volumes from other Westbank First Nation forestry tenures.
“Building strong partnerships with Indigenous communities is fundamental to the future of British Columbia’s forest sector,” said Pino Pucci, President & CEO, Tolko. “This agreement creates long-term certainty for both organizations while supporting Indigenous forestry ownership, economic participation, and sustainable forest management.”
