Tolko’s High Level, AB Division Achieves One-year Zero Recordable Injuries!

We are proud to announce that as of Nov. 29, 2018, Tolko’s High Level Division has gone an entire year without a single recordable injury, giving the site a 12-month rolling recordable incident rate (RIR) of zero!

In addition to being one-year zero RIR, our High Level team recently celebrated a one-year zero lost time accident (LTA) milestone. Layne Herrin, OHS Supervisor, High Level Division believes that this newest achievement is even more impressive.

“Achieving one-year zero RIR is a more challenging goal to meet as it covers not only lost-time, but medical treatment and restricted work, says Layne. “Nov. 29 marks one full year since our last recordable injury – this means no lacerations requiring sutures, no hairline fractures of fingers, and no situations where our workers were not able to complete work on-site without restrictions.”

The team’s next major milestone is 750,000-exposure hour recordable incident free, which the team could hit in February 2019. “It’s an exciting time!” says Layne.

High Level Plant Manager Gary Ross was thrilled to hear the news. He says, “Way to go High Level Lumber Division! One-year zero RIR is a huge milestone and our entire team should be very proud of that accomplishment. Great work by everyone and thank you for your ongoing commitment to working safely.”
