Efforts by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Williams Lake to raise funds for their youth-mentoring programs received the support of Tolko’s Lakeview mill with a donation to sponsor several of the organization’s major fundraisers.
Lakeview’s donation will sponsor this year’s Big Night Out, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and the upcoming Tour de Cariboo bike event happening in September.
Throughout the year, the foundation hosted events that allow them to continue providing mentors that guide, support, and build relationships with girls and boys around Canada who face adversity every day.
Through the Big Brothers Big Sisters’ one-on-one, group, and online mentoring programs, negative environments are prevented from affecting youths which gives them an opportunity to live to their full potential.
